First Baby of 2009 [Lisa Baumann / Pine Journal] — Kamryn Laina Korkala, the first baby of 2009 born at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, sleeps through a family photo Wednesday while surrounded by sisters (clockwise from left) Kendall Smith, 7, Kortni Korkala, 15, father Dale Korkala, mother Andrea Bottila and sister Kayla Smith, 13. Kamryn, of Esko, was born at 3:13 a.m. on Jan. 6. She weighed 10 pounds 2.6 ounces and was 21-3/4 inches long.
