Shopping, check. Cooking, check. Having fun? The Carlton County Historical Society is hosting its annual Family Day and Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Carlton County History and Heritage Center, 406 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet.
Check out Jim Sheetz' antique holiday light display complete with one of the first sets of electrical lights from 1901 as well as a holiday wreath given out free with the purchase of a Model T!
There will be food and coffee and a chance to try your hand at a handmade holiday ornament. There will even be a chance to get a bargain on history books for holiday gifts.
Bring your kids, bring your parents, or bring yourself to the annual CCHS open house! Admission is free, as always.
