Cloquet Senior High School Business Department announces Carley Esse as "Business Student of the Month" for February. Students who apply for this award are chosen based on their activities, work experience, business courses, grades earned, a letter of recommendation, and an essay written by the student.
Esse, a senior at CHS, has been a very involved student, both in academics and extra-curricular activities. In addition to the numerous business courses that she has taken, Esse participates in National Honor Society, Junior and Senior Executive Board, hockey, soccer, softball, track and Link Crew. One of Esse's instructors said, "Carley has always possessed a strong work ethic, cooperates well with others, and has a strong desire to achieve and be the best she can be. She simply is an outstanding person!"
Esse will attend Bemidji State University in the fall and major in mathematics. She is the daughter of Dave and Chris Esse of Cloquet.
A senior student chosen as "Business Student of the Month" will also be eligible for the Stowell Family Scholarship to be awarded in May.
