A 34-year-old Esko man was killed in a one vehicle rollover late Tuesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver and another man were also in the car at the time of the crash, which took place at 2600 Guss Road near the Buffalo House Restaurant and Bar in Proctor at approximately 11:40 p.m.

Jerry J. Jubie, a 37-year-old Cloquet man, was reportedly driving south in a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro when it veered off the road at a curve, struck a tree and rolled. The Esko man was seated in the back and was not wearing a seat belt, the report said. His name will be released late tonight. Road conditions at the time were dry and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to the patrol.

Jubie was admitted to St. Luke's Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman declined to discuss his condition this morning. A second passenger, Scott A. Sertich, 39, also of Cloquet, is listed in fair condition at St. Mary's Medical Center.
