Emma (Emmy) Anne Gustafson, 61, of Cloquet died at home on Sunday, July 22, 2007, with family and friends by her side in Pine Ridge Spruce Home. Emmy was born in 1946 in Duluth to Lydia Gustafson Henke and Carl Gustafson. Emmy lived in the Cloquet area all her life. She moved in to Pine Ridge Home #3 in December 1979 and then to the Pine Ridge Spruce Home in October 1999. Emmy participated in the activities of Pinewood-Cloquet, Inc. She enjoyed taking trips, loved music, singing with the staff, shopping and ice cream.
Emmy is survived by her guardian, Kay Perttula, several other cousins and many friends at Pinewood-Cloquet, Inc. and Pine Ridge Spruce Home.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pine Ridge Spruce Home for their wonderful care.
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 25, from noon until the 1 p.m. Celebration of Life in Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. The Rev. Bruce Bergstedt officiated. Burial was in Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Esko.
Memorials are preferred to the Cloquet Public Library.
