Eleanor Maryann Provinski, 89, having a hotline to the Saints, joined them Friday, July 6, 2007. While loving her family and friends on earth, many of whom are angels, she went from being on earthly angel to a heavenly angel and now watches over us. She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Cloquet to Aime "Amos"" and Marie Lydia (Le Braceur) Joseph. As much as she enjoyed making wreaths with "The Club," serving meals and treats with the Daughters of Isabella and St. Francis Circle, playing bingo at the Cloquet Senior Center, traveling with the Cloquet Women's Bowling Association, cooking for the Cloquet Public Schools, reading mysteries, dancing, listening to the "oldies," skating in the star light, biking around the park, and cheering at the parades, she especially enjoyed saying her prayers and sharing them with others.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Eugene Herman, Gordon, Mervin "Muzz" and Frank Joseph, and many other family members.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Provinske of Minneapolis, Minn., and Sandra (Michael) Bassi of Pinole, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 11, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. memorial Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Inurnment services were at Old Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon followed in the church social hall.
The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care, 1004 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, 218-879-3225, to assist them with arrangements. See their online guest book at www.legacy.com .
