Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet honored 157 graduates this week with three commencement-related events.
The celebration of 2021 graduates kicked off at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, with a modified in-person pinning ceremony for associate degree nursing program graduates, followed by a graduate parade and virtual commencement ceremony Thursday, May 13, according to a news release from FDLTCC.
Attendance at the pinning ceremony was limited, with livestreaming available.
Thursday's virtual ceremony for graduates was also available for viewing at vimeo.com/548730462/d591aca719. The ceremony included a slideshow with each graduate’s name, photo, future plans and special messages, along with addresses from college administrators, employees and students.
A graduate parade followed shortly after Thursday's commencement, beginning at the college at 5 p.m. It featured performances from the Cedar Creek drum group as FDLTCC faculty and staff cheered for students.
After the parade, graduates had the opportunity to take pictures on campus while following social distancing protocols.
