Douglas R. Isaacson, 61, of Cloquet passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 23, 1945, in Duluth to Theodore and Ailie (Nyman) Isaacson. Doug worked at Conwed Corporation and Boldt Construction for several years and was currently working at Black Bear Casino. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing baseball and sitting around BS-ing.
Doug was preceded in death by his son, Dale; two brothers, Ted and Thomas; and five sisters, Judy Diver, Dolly Aho, Mavis Hoile, Betty Levine and Shirley Davis.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Isaacson of Cloquet; two granddaughters, Skye and Paige Wick, both of Cloquet; his special friend, Linda Gamble of Cloquet; one brother, John (LouAnn) of Carlton; four sisters, Gloria (Glen) Olson of Sturgeon Lake, Peggy (Harvey) DeFoe of Cloquet, Bonnie (George) Houle of Wrenshall and Ruby (Eugene) Reynolds of Cloquet.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Monday, Jan. 22, in Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Mullen, Dean Davis, Ernie Diver, Keith Diver, Bobby Isaacson and Steve DeFoe.
