Dorothy V. Lingle, 74, of Moose Lake entered eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, in Mercy Hospital and Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born May 9, 1932, in Birch Creek Township to Joseph Sr. and Bessie (Barton) Dobesh. Dorothy grew up and attended Willow River High School. After school, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Northwest Bank. On May 16, 1959, Dorothy married "Bud" George Lingle at Faith Lutheran Church in Denham. They lived in Moose Lake and Dorothy did child care in her home for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star and loved to garden, sew, quilt, knit, fish, go to the hunting shack, crossword puzzles and especially spend time with her grandkids.
Dorothy was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie, Joyce and Florence; and one brother, Ed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, "Bud" George Lingle; three children, Carmen (Bruce) Calverley of Barnum, Allen (Deonne) Lingle of Circle Pines and Noreen (Dave) Rybak of Lino Lakes; eight grandchildren, Amber, Heather, and Cory Calverley, Stefanie, Allie and Adam Lingle, and David Jr. and Danielle Rybak; three brothers, George (Betty) Dobesh of Brooklyn Center, David Dobesh of Richfield and Fred (Gloria) Dobesh of Aitkin.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. Pastor Nathan Anderson officiated. Casket Bearers were Cory Calverley, Adam Lingle, David Rybak Jr., Mitch Ritter, Bruce Granos and Ed Kowalski Jr. Honorary Bearers were Amber Calverley, Heather Calverley, Stefanie Lingle, Allie Lingle and Danielle Rybak. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moose Lake.
