The Cloquet American Legion baseball team will host the District 8 Class AA American Legion Baseball Tournament starting Wednesday.
"The format is double elimination and will include two sites for the first day," explained Cloquet coach Steve Jezierski. "Due to some field issues, and awaiting tournament pairings, the second site has yet to be determined."
Teams participating include Cloquet, Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Virginia, Duluth Lakeview, Central, West Duluth and Hermantown.
"I don't expect our seed to be too high," mentioned Jezierski. "We lost most of our seeding games."
Seedings for the tournament will be finalized Sunday and printed in next week's edition of the Pine Journal.
