A year removed from leading Wrenshall to the state tournament for the first time in school history, Neal Dickenson will move to Moose Lake-Willow River and hope to do the same for the Rebels.

"I had been at Wrenshall for eight seasons and thought it was time for a change," commented Dickenson. "My daughter had graduated and we had lost six special seniors last season and I knew that if I was going to switch schools, this was the time."

Dickenson will take the reins from Dean Levinski who stepped down after last year. Joining Dickenson will be longtime assistant boys coach and last season's head coach at Wrenshall, Bill Sandstrom.

While Dickenson is still getting to know his current crop of athletes at Moose Lake-Willow River, the Rebels do return Hillary Peterson, a senior center, along with senior guard Natasha Dragicevich. Both are strong players who will help lead a solid group including Taryn Davis, Peggy Stepan, Rachel Mach, Kathryn Coil, Maddy Adamczak and Shelby Halverson.

"I am not sure what kind of team we have, but I do know we have some talented players in the program," explained Dickenson. "It may take a while for them to adjust to my style and new system, but I am confident that I can get them to play to the best of their ability."
