Deanna Colleen "Dee" Clark, 67, of Cromwell passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, in St. Luke's Hospital's Hospice. She was born March 21, 1939, to Donald and Gladys (Dahl) Clark in Cromwell. Dee graduated from Cromwell High School in 1957 and worked for Northwest Paper in Cloquet for many years. She played fastpitch softball for the Cloquet Merchants, Hennessey's Bar and C.Z. Wilson's softball teams. In the early 1970s, she traveled to California where she worked initially for 3M, designing graphite sporting good products. Dee then went to work for General Dynamics, a subsidiary of Rockwell Industries, supervising and engineering products for the aerospace industries. She was especially proud of her work with the space shuttle. Dee retired in 1996 and returned to be with her family and to hunt and fish.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; and a nephew, Zachary.
Dee is survived by her mother, Gladys; brothers and sisters, Donny (Rita), Michelle (David) Hedin, Wendy Tillman, Mike (Joni), and Jackie (David) Tuomi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 5-7 p.m. in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Avenue, Cloquet. Visitation will resume Thursday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in Bethany Lutheran Church, 5609 Highway 210, Cromwell, Minn. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Cromwell.
