Cloquet Police Department responds to rash of vehicle break-ins
The Cloquet Police Department reported in a press release Monday, May 6, it had handled 15 vehicle prowl calls for service in the previous six days.
The CPD offered the following tips to reduce residents’ risk of a vehicle break-in or theft:
Keep valuables out of sight, including electronics, purses, bags, backpacks, wallets, cash and vehicle keys.
Park in areas that have regular vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Park in well-lit areas when possible.
Don't leave your vehicle running unattended.
Add a security alarm or use an anti-theft device.
Report any break-ins to the police.
