Cloquet woman who was missing found dead
A Cloquet woman who last was seen with a Cloquet man on Friday has been found dead.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported that the body of Debbie Senarighi, 60, was found by members of the St. Louis County Rescue Squad about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the water on White Iron Lake, which is southeast of Ely.
She had been reported missing along with Kenneth Wildenauer, 60, after he failed to show up Monday for his job in Cloquet. First responders found Wildenauer's vehicle along with a vehicle belonging to Senarighi, 60, at Windenauer's cabin in Babbitt. His snowmobile was missing.
The couple were last seen together Friday at Tank's Bar and Restaurant in Babbitt. Their last known location, based on cell phone records, was just southeast of Ely on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Sheriff's Office, it appears the snowmobile broke through thin ice as they neared Beargrease Island.
Rescuers still were searching for Wildenauer.
