Two men were arrested July 10 on felony drug charges in Cloquet.
Multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant for an apartment on Laurel Street in Cloquet.
Jesse Thomas Bryant, 33, of Cloquet and Jordan Anthony Denk, 34, Lino Lakes, Minn., were arrested and charged with first-degree sale of 17 grams or more of methamphetamine.
According to the statement of probable cause, law enforcement found the men in the basement of the apartment along with many items suggesting the men were selling controlled substances. Included in the list are digital scales, packaging materials, cash and two clear plastic bags containing about 306 grams of methamphetamine.
Bryant would find buyers for the drug and Denk brought up large quantities to fill the orders. Both men were involved in the sales and divided the profits.
Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Carlton County Sheriff's Office, Fond du Lac Tribal Police Department and the Cloquet Police Department were involved with the case.
Bryant’s initial appearance in Carlton County District Court was Wednesday, July 17. He was ordered to have chemical dependency evaluation and an omnibus hearing is set for July 29.
Denk initially appeared in Carlton County District Court on July 17 and also was ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation. His omnibus hearing is Aug. 7.
