The Wrenshall Wrens opened volleyball play for the 2007 season with a 3-2 loss to Cotton. The Cardinals prevailed 25-16, 21-25, 25-17, 16-25 and 20-18 in a marathon match played at Wrenshall.
Mandy Dedina led the Cards with nine kills and seven ace serves, while Lynn Schneider provided five kills and six ace serves. Amanda Chapman added three ace blocks and 11 kills while Steph Siek finished with six kills for Cotton.
Wrenshall was led by the 100 percent serving of Danielle Anderson who also finished with two ace serves. Sam Anderson added seven kills and 14 set assists and Wendy Bowmnan finished with five kills and four blocks.
