Collette Susan Reynolds, 50, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Esko, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Wake Med in Raleigh after a brief illness. She was born March 24, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minn. Collette grew up in Esko and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974. She also attended Duluth Business University. Collette moved to Mobile, Ala., where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at the Ramada Inn. She later moved to Raleigh. She married her husband, Ken Reynolds, on Jan. 1, 1987, in Williamsburg, Va., and they made their home in Raleigh. Collette was currently working as a controller at the Brownstone Hotel in Raleigh. She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, who also enjoyed photography, gardening, and crafts. She was also an avid cat lover.
Collette was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Merchen, and brother-in-law, Ken Merchen.
She is survived by her husband, Ken of Raleigh; son, Bobby of Raleigh; parents, Raymond and Grace Ketchum of Esko; sister, Elizabeth Amy (Walter) Collman of Cromwell; nephews, Terrence and Jon Merchen, both of Nebraska; and niece, Lenore Collman of Cromwell.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service in J.M. Paine Presbyterian Church in Carlton. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Kerrick at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to J.M. Paine Presbyterian Church.
