"Isabella is a very hard working student who quietly finds ways to excel throughout the day. This fall Izzy was a member of the volleyball team and the school patrols. She balanced all of these activities while maintaining an A average. She is kind to her friends and all students. Izzy is an independent student with a good balance of pushing herself and knowing when to get extra help."

Name: Marjorie Larsen

School: Cloquet Middle School

Grade: 8

Parents: Rebecca and Jeffrey Larsen

Who nominated this student and why: Andrew Mettner, art teacher

"I proudly nominate Marjorie as Student of the Month. Marjorie is an extremely dedicated young artist. She is very creative and highly skilled at the technical aspects of art-making. Additionally, Marjorie shows a keen interest in the study of art history. As her art teacher, I am very excited to see how she grows as an artist in the years to come."
