Two new identical chemical analyzers have been added to the Lab at Community Memorial Hospital to help medical staff diagnose and treat diseases.
The Siemen's Dimension Xpand Clinical Chemistry Systems measures more than 50 different substances in whole blood, serum, plasma, urine and spinal fluid.
The two analyzers enable lab personnel to provide more continuous service by ensuring an "in-house" back system if one of the analyzers needs repair or service.
Lab employees Connie Ekholm and Tina Earls recently traveled to Delaware for training on the machines.
