The Cloquet Women of Today will present "Refuse to be a Victim" on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Lost Isle, 1675 Highway 210, Carlton.
The Cloquet Women of Today is proud to sponsor this educational class to enhance our awareness of daily danger. No one chooses to be a victim, but we can make better choices every day. You will learn to be aware of your surroundings and how to engage in life knowing you are doing everything possible to keep yourself safe.
Gregory Olson, certified instructor for "Refuse to be a Victim" will share information on safety devices and home security products that are available at local hardware stores. Participants will receive a booklet containing valuable tips you can reference and share with others.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $25 in advance or $30 the day of the class. Make checks payable to Cloquet Women of Today and send along with your name, address and phone number to PO Box 261, Cloquet, MN 55720. Registrations must be received by Jan. 4 for the early registration price.
