The Cloquet Windom Mini-Storage U-14 girls fastpitch team participated in the U-14 ASA-MSF Class D State Fastpitch Tournament in Hutchinson, Minn., last weekend.
Cloquet played five games on Saturday and opened with a first round 12-6 win over St. Cloud.
In game two, Cloquet fell 5-3 to eventual state runner-up Glencoe-Silver Lake.
Against Bemidji in game three, Cloquet fell 10-9 in nin innings, eliminating them from the double elimination championship bracket.
Playing in the consolation bracket, Cloquet rebounded with a 9-0 victory over Sebeka before falling in their fifth game of the day 9-8 to Austen.

"The girls made some outstanding plays and catches," said coach Mike McMillen. "Our pitchers and catchers did an outstanding job all day long. In my eyes, as their coach, these girls played like champions who came up just a little short."
