Cloquet sophomore Ben Scheuer remains in contention for winning the Discovery Kids television reality show, "Endurance: Fiji." The finale will air in two parts with the first this Saturday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. and the second on Saturday, March 8.
Scheuer and his fellow competitor, Jordyn Barbato, make up the Blue Team and are one of two teams still standing. Twelve other competitors have been eliminated throughout the competition.
"We're kind of the underdogs of the show," Scheuer said. "It's been really fun to watch and all my friends are freaking out."
Scheuer was selected to participate in the show based on a tape he made of himself rolling in the mud and eating a raw egg. He is the only participant from Minnesota on the show and he and his mother traveled to Fiji last August for filming.
The winning boy and girl receive a vacation package with their parents to a tropical location as the prize.
