Pascha Parks of the JPG Group was selected as the Fuse Duluth Person of the year at the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting held in October, which attracted 1,180 participants.
Fuse members give the award to the person who best exemplifies the mission of Fuse Duluth. Its mission, according to Breanne DeFoe, director of Fuse Duluth, is to inform, network and connect young professionals so they can engage and influence their community.
"A community influenced by young people will attract and retain young people," DeFoe said. "The word 'fuse' means to blend or mix. We want to 'fuse' young professionals into our community."
Parks, of Cloquet, has served on the Fuse Leadership Council, Events Action Team and has been active in recruiting and involving new members. She also serves on the Chamber board of directors.
Parks is co-owner and Vice President of The JPG Group, an advertising, marketing and public relations firm with offices in Duluth, Virginia and Minneapolis.
