Cloquet Public Schools will be offering a winter bus route on a trial basis for the 2019-20 school year. The route will serve students who live in the outer areas of the current walking boundaries for Washington Elementary School, Cloquet Middle School and Cloquet High School.
The purpose of the route is to provide a safe means for students to get to and from school when the weather is most hazardous, according to the school district. The winter route began Monday, Dec. 16, and will continue through March 13.
Students interested in using the winter route must make a one-time contact to Cloquet Transit in advance to notify them of their intended pickup and drop-off location. Reach Cloquet Transit at 218-879-1291.
