An omnibus hearing for a Cloquet man charged with felony drug possession was delayed another five weeks Monday in Carlton County Court.

Brian Keith Lind, 33, is charged with second-degree controlled substance crime. Although the incident occurred in August, charges weren't filed until December.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Aug. 21, officers saw a man riding a motorcycle west on Cloquet Avenue at a high rate of speed. When detectives followed the motorcycle, they paced it at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. When they stopped the motorcycle, the defendant, Lind, could not provide proof of insurance and he also admitted he did not have a motorcycle endorsement, so he wasn't legal to drive the motorcycle.

When he was arrested for the traffic offenses, officers found Lind was also in possession of a blue pouch containing what was later found to be 10 grams of methamphetamine and other paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, Lind admitted the drugs were his.

On Monday in Carlton County Court, Judge Dale Wolf set a contested omnibus hearing for Lind for March 14.
