The Cloquet Housing and Redevelopment Authority will open its Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher waiting list Thursday, April 1, a news release said.
Applications will be available in the front entry of the Aspen Arms apartment building, 950 14th St., Cloquet; at the HRA office inside the building; and at cloquetcarltonhra.org .
Completed applications must be returned to the HRA office. Applicants will be entered on the waiting list in the order they are received. Additional preference points are given for Carlton County residents, veterans, and victims of domestic abuse as defined by the Violence Against Women Act.
Applicants currently on the waiting list will maintain their place and move up as voucher funding becomes available, the release said. Applicants are notified by mail when they become eligible to attend a Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher briefing meeting and receive a voucher.
