Cloquet High School Principal Steve Battaglia put a plea out on social media Tuesday, March 31 to ask for homemade masks.

“We’re running all of the food delivery and homework delivery for the whole district out of CHS,” Battaglia said. “We’ve got about 70 district employees that are involved in these daily deliveries.”

He went on to say that there are also food service staff and employees providing the mandated child care for residents working in essential professions.

He said there have been a few donations so far. Anyone willing to donate masks can place them in a Rubbermaid bin outside of Door #1 at CHS during business hours of the school.

“We’re not asking for medical grade masks,” Battaglia said. “Those are needed elsewhere.”
