Cloquet resident Ken Hanson has artwork in the MacRostie Art Center's 15th Annual Juried Art Exhibition.

To gain acceptance into the show, area artists were invited to submit slides, discs or photographs of recent work for viewing by this year's juror, Marlon Davison of Bemidji, Minn.

The exhibit will be held at the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids, Minn., and will feature the works of 32 artists in a wide variety of media. The exhibit opens to the public Aug. 6, with a reception planned for 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10. Refreshments will be served and music performed. Highlighting the evening will be the juror's comments on the exhibit, as well as an awards ceremony honoring winners in both the two- and three-dimensional categories.

Hanson has two entries in the exhibit, "The Temptation of St. Anthony" and "St. Sebastian," both graphite on paper.
