Esko attorney Pete Radosevich, his wife Tara and their two young children were in Washington, D.C., recently visiting family and taking in some of the Presidential Inauguration events. While there, they spent a few extra days touring the sights and museums of the historic city.
A highlight of the visit, according to Pete, was meeting with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.
"Klobuchar hosts 'Minnesota Morning' every Thursday from 8-9 a.m. while the Senate is in session," said Pete, "- a chance for all Minnesotans to come to her office, meet her and her staff, and have some coffee and potica [an old-world pastry well known to anyone who grew up on Minnesota's Iron Range]."
The Radoseviches thought this would be an excellent opportunity to introduce their children, Patrick, 3, and Tommy, 5, to a taste of what politics is like at the national level.
During the visit, the Radoseviches were able to shoot a priceless photo of their children sitting on Sen. Klobuchar's lap - one they'll likely chuckle over for a long time to come.

"She is holding Patrick because he was climbing all over her expensive leather sofa with his wets boots and would not stop," explained Pete. "So (like any good mother), she grabbed him and held him tight. Tommy was a good boy and sat down when asked. I'm not in the photo because I was mortified!"
