Duluth Central hosted the Duluth Central Invitational Nordic Ski Meet at Snowflake Ski Area on Thursday. Despite racing with a slim team due to the holidays, Raleigh Goessling of the CEC Lumberjacks finished strong with fourth place in the boys 4K freestyle race.
Grand Rapids won the boys team event with Duluth East taking second, Mesabi East third, Proctor fourth and Ely fifth.
East won the girls event with Grand Rapids second, Ely third, Two Harbors fourth and Mesabi East fifth.
Addie Byrne of Grand Rapids won the girls race with Alena Tofte of East finishing second.
