The Carlton Bulldogs certainly lit a fire under themselves after their 16 first-half point total by dropping 44 on the Wrenshall Wrens in the second half -- but it simply wasn't enough to overcome the Wrens, as Wrenshall went on to win 69-60 at home on Tuesday night.
Aaron Mettling scoring 17 points to lead the Wrens.
Josh Dahl scored 17 for Carlton, Erik Aili added 13 while both Justin Schwartz and Taylor Silker finished with 10 points. Also scoring for Carlton were; Matt Ostby with six and Mike Lundquist and Chris Domogalia each finished with two points.
Joining Mettling on the score board for the Wrens were; Evan Swanson with 13, Jon Bartczak with 12, both Chris Hansmann and Brendon Menze each had eight, Kyle Ziebarth finished with six and Jordan Berglund recorded five.
