The Carlton VFW held its Second Annual Four-Person Scramble Golf Tournament June 30 at Pine Hill Golf Club. Randy Hedlund, Deb Hedlund, Joy Gerlovich and Darrell Gerlovich took first place in a playoff against Brian Stolarzyk, Brian Olsen, Dave Hurst and Bill Adkins, scoring a 26, 5-under par.
Commander Mac McCallie presented Al Johnson with a hotel golf package for Black Bear Casino Resort by drawing his name from all golfers who played in the tournament, and Steve Fluck won a John Daly driver in a drawing.
Men's prize holes were won by: Randy Hedlund, longest drive; Brian Olsen, closest second shot; Jeremy O'Konck, closest to pin; and Severt Grimm, longest putt.
Women's prize holes were won by: Yvonne Swenson, longest drive; Barb Jovonovich, closest second shot and closest to pin; Shauna Mattson, longest putt.
Mark Wheale, Steve Hayes, Katie Gerlovich and Jennifer Jaakola also won prizes for being highest score champions, scoring 39, 8-over par.
