Carlton County Commissioner races and Cloquet City Council Race Results

The contested races for Carlton County Commissioner ended with Ted Pihlman in District 5 retaining his seat while Thomas Proulx upset Mark Roberts in District 3.

The contested races for Carlton County Commissioner ended with Ted Pihlman in District 5 retaining his seat while Thomas Proulx upset Mark Roberts in District 3.

Pihlman garnered 1,688 votes for 60.44 percent in District 5 and opponent Gary Halverson received 1,092 votes for 39.10 percent.

In District 3, Thomas Proulx received 1,894 votes for 63.03 percent and Mark Roberts had 1,097 votes for 36.51 percent.

Incumbant Dick Brenner ran unopposed for County Commissioner in District 1 and received 2,963 votes while write-in candidates received 43 votes.

In Cloquet, Barb Wyman was elected to the Cloquet City Council At Large seat (formerly filled by Proulx) with 3,399 votes or 63.76 percent. Challenger Clare Mills Cassandro received 1,881 votes for 35.28 percent.
