Carlton County Board seeks public comment on body cameras

The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office announced it plans to implement a system of portable recording devices, also known as body cameras, for deputies licensed as peace officers.

Minnesota statute requires a law enforcement agency to provide an opportunity for the public to comment before an agency purchases or implements a portable recording system. The Carlton County Board will hold an open forum for public comments and questions during its regular meeting at 8:30 a.m. May 12 at the Carlton County Transportation Building.
