CARLTON COUNTY AFFIDAVIT OF CANDIDACY
NOTICE OF FILING FOR THE 2008 GENERAL ELECTION
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.33, that a general election will be held in Carlton County on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. The filing period for these offices begins on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Note: Filing documents may be executed on July 4 although filing offices will be closed for the Independence Day holiday.

Affidavits of Candidacy will be accepted at the Carlton County Auditor's Office located in Room 205 of the Carlton County Courthouse, Carlton, Minnesota 55718. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Filing of Affidavits of Candidacy for representatives in Congress, Legislative offices in Districts encompassing multiple counties, Supreme Court, Appeals Court, and District Court shall be at the Office of the Secretary of State, Room 180, State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul MN 55155-1299, from 8:00 A.M. July 1st, 2008, until 5:00 P.M. July 15th, 2008. Filing of Affidavits of Candidacy for Legislative Officers wholly contained within the County, and all County Offices shall be at the Carlton County Auditor/Treasurer's Office, Room 205, 301 Walnut Ave, Carlton MN 55718, from 8:00 A.M. July 1st, 2008, until 5:00 P.M. July 15th, 2008.
