For the time being, the Barnum boys basketball team has bragging rights in their neighborhood rivalry with Moose Lake-Willow River after the Bombers 69-57 win on Friday night.
Barnum managed a 36-31 halftime lead as Willie Carlson was nearly unstoppable from the three-point land. Carlson hit seven three-pointers in the game and finished with a game-high 29 points.
Joe Bednar led the Rebels with 23 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the effort by the Bombers.
Josh Earlywine with 16 points and Kyle Grimm with 14 points were also in double-digits for Barnum, Micah Kantonen added seven, Tyler Wekseth added two points and Dylan Eggen rounded out the scoring with a point.
For the Rebels Travis Wagers finished with 10 points, Joey Bohaty added eight, Jim Mach scored seven, Taylor Davis finished with four, Brian Bothwell added three and Nate Zuk had a pair of points.
