A huge first half and a balanced scoring attack helped the Cromwell girls to a 48-32 win over McGregor in basketball on Monday night.

The Cards sprinted out to a 30-15 halftime lead as Heather Heino led the scoring barrage with 14 points, Ari Korpela added a 12-point night, Alissa Granholm chipped in with 10 points, Tayah Johnson finished with eight and it was four points for Tanya House.

No Mercs player managed double figures in scoring, but Lacey Sprague did hit for nine points for McGregor.

The Cards hit three three-pointers in the game while the Mercs managed only one long-range shot.
