Cloquet sophomore center Chad Calcaterra has been named to the Minnesota Basketball News pre-season Top 100 Players in Minnesota.
Minnesota Basketball News is a seven-issue monthly newspaper that annually names a Top 100 Player list in which the 6-foot-10 Calcaterra is projected as one of the best players in the state.
Each year Minnesota Basketball News also ranks the top 20 teams in each class in the state as well as other information on elite players and teams.
Calcaterra was noticed by a number of top Division I colleges this past summer after spending time playing on various teams and leagues across the state.
The pre-season issue provides profiles of each player with information on height, position, grade and stats from the previous season.
