Bulldogs rip Tigers 78-27

Carlton slammed the door shut in the early moments of their game against Cherry in girls basketball on Monday. The result? The Bulldogs pounded the Tigers 78-27 as Elissa Sandstrom led the offensive charge with 19 points.

The Bulldogs were so dominant in the first half that they took a 44-6 lead into the locker room at halftime and four different players scored in double figures.

Joining Sandstrom in double digits were Amber Bloom with 15, Paige Carpenter added 14 and Marissa Wojtysiak finished with 11 points. Natasha Godbout finished chipped in with six points for Carlton, Danielle Soukkala had five points, April Davis recorded four and Christine Bryant and Rachel Gunderson each added a pair of points.

Cherry's leading scorer was Shannon Stenlund with six points on the night.
