UPDATE: ARREST MADE

On Wednesday Nov. 13, Cloquet police, acting on tips from the public, arrested a 20-year-old Cloquet man without incident in connection with the burglary of Cornerstone State Bank, which occurred in the early morning hours Monday, Nov. 11.

According to a press release from Cloquet Deputy Chief Terry Hill Police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 10 block of 13th Street in the City of Cloquet where evidence believed to be worn by the suspect during the burglary was recovered, along with monies believed to be belonging to Cornerstone State Bank.

The suspect is currently being held at the Carlton County Law Enforcement Center awaiting formal charges. The Pine Journal generally does not name a suspect until charges are filed in court.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time. Cloquet police were assisted by Arrowhead Regional Corrections (probation) and the public.
