Bernice Hazel Wolf, 77, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born July 30, 1929, in Scanlon to William and Ida (Broughton) Coleman and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1947. Bernice also graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1950 and worked for Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. She was a lifelong area resident, loved traveling and wintering in Arizona, going on bus trips with her husband, LeRoy, and embroidery work.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; son Steven Wolf; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; three sons, Keith Wolf of Thomson, Dennis (Mary) Wolf of Jim Falls, Wis., and Dean Wolf of Carlton; one daughter, Susie Anton (Bruce Carter) of Carlton; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship room. Inurnment was at Maple Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Special Olympics in memory of Steven Wolf.
