Bernard C. "Bernie" Grindle, 62, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at home. He was born April 20, 1946, in Carlton, Minn., to Earl and Myrtle (Campbell) Grindle.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eugene.
He is survived by his soul-mate, Phyllis Pajari, and her family, Dawn, Mark, Craig and Tracy Pajari, and Jody Pozniak and their children. Bernie is also survived by his children, Tammy Sullivan, Shelly Grindle and Bethany Grindle; grandchildren, Evan and Jackson Sullivan; sisters, Dorothy Steen and Evelyn Peters; sister-in-law, Florence Grindle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Dec. 4, in Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave., Cloquet, and the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
