Barthman, Prusak

Christine Barthman of Cannon Falls, Minn., and Matthew Prusak of Roseau, Minn., were united in marriage June 14, 2008, in Queen of Peace Church in Cloquet, Minn. The Rev. Fathers Gene Pouliot and Frank Paquette performed the ceremony.

Christine Barthman of Cannon Falls, Minn., and Matthew Prusak of Roseau, Minn., were united in marriage June 14, 2008, in Queen of Peace Church in Cloquet, Minn. The Rev. Fathers Gene Pouliot and Frank Paquette performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Dona and Jim Prusak of Cloquet and Betty and Arthur Barthman of Two Harbors, Minn.

Matron of honor was Celia Schmaltz of Bismarck, N.D., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Anna Barthman of New York City, sister of the bride, and Lizette Grinden of Bemidji, Minn., and Angie Dasovich of Bismarck, friends of the bride, and Bridget Brannan of Roseau, friend of the couple. Flower girl was Cara Barthman of Duluth, niece of the bride.

The best man was Leon Huot of Peoria, Ill., friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jason Groth of Grand Rapids, Minn., Eric Witeli of Cloquet, Brandon Buss of Oshkosh, Wis., and Dan Willeck of Cloquet, friends of the groom.

The new bride is a graduate of the University of Mary, North Dakota, with degrees in music education and music performance. She is currently a teacher in Warroad, Minn.

The groom is a graduate of Michigan Tech, Houghton, Mich., and is currently employed as a mechanical engineer for Polaris Industries in Roseau.

The couple resides in Salol, Minn., and will enjoy a honeymoon to Las Vegas in February.
