Barnum students inducted into Hall of Fame

The Barnum High School John O. Calverley chapter of the National Honor Society announces the induction of the following students to its membership on March 27: Kyle Duesler, Melissa Minkkinen, and Ray Jobe.

The Barnum High School John O. Calverley chapter of the National Honor Society announces the induction of the following students to its membership on March 27: Kyle Duesler, Melissa Minkkinen, and Ray Jobe.

These students, along with current members Colleen McKay, Desiree Bussiere, Alex Naslund, Jon Williams, Megan Myhre, Hannah Wekseth, Paige Lopeman, Gary Jobe, Caroline Sebring, Stephen Heimbruch, Kiaja Wickstrom, Karen Sebring, Sarah Korbel, Kyle Polman-Biitner and Cameron Browne, have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, service, leadership and character. Members of the National Honor Society are required to continue to uphold the values and characteristics by which they were selected.

During the 2006-2007 school year, Barnum NHS members developed their own leadership projects, which included organizing a Pennies for Patients fund raiser for the Minnesota Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, collecting food items for the local food shelf, raising money for breast cancer awareness and the Salvation Army during the holiday season. The Barnum National Honor Society chapter is advised by Sandi Bird.
