In Bombers' track and field events this season, several athletes stood out and made a run to the state meet.
Barnum junior speedster Leah Nordvall, who has plenty of experience at state competitions, was named to the state podium for her ninth place finish in the 200-meter dash. She also finished 10th in the long jump and 15th in the 100-meter dash.
Fellow junior Bomber Alycia Bonneville also earned a trip to the state meet and took 16th place in the discus throw.
Three seniors, Dusti True, Isabelle Leguay and Jenny Zakgeym, graduated, leaving Nordvall and Bonneville to once again anchor the team come next season.
The boys saw six seniors graduate including sprinters Jonah Parrot and Mikel Nelson. Adam Henninger, Andrew McCoy, Brandon Hansen, and Ray Jobe, who competed handily in the long jump, also graduated.

Barnum will retain strength in races such as the 800- and 1,600-meter runs with plenty of younger talent next season.
