Barnum teacher and varsity football coach Kevin Haley submitted his resignation Tuesday after an internal investigation into allegations brought forth against him.
Barnum Principal Steve Brandt confirmed the resignation Tuesday night, but could not comment further because of privacy laws.
Haley was placed on paid administrative leave from teaching social studies on March 7 for undisclosed reasons. The school district subsequently conducted an internal investigation, but Brandt wouldn't say what the result was of that investigation.
The School Board had taken action on the matter March 20, passing a resolution approving a letter to be personally served to Haley setting forth the proposed discipline and the basis for that discipline.
Haley had an 84-56 record in 14 seasons coaching the Bombers and was a teacher in the school district for the past 15 years.
