Barnum Elementary announces science fair winners

Barnum Elementary School's Annual Science Fair was held March 19 for students in Grades 4-6. Adult judges -- elementary principal, high school principal, and a school board member -- chose three winners per grade level.

Barnum Elementary School’s Annual Science Fair was held March 19 for students in Grades 4-6. Adult judges - elementary principal, high school principal, and a school board member - chose three winners per grade level.

In addition, students in grades 3-6 voted for one project as their “Kids Choice” winner.

Grade 4 Winners:

First place - Dakota Grubbs “Germs in School”

Second place - Brooke Doran and Kayelea Poirier “Got Plastic?”

Third place - Warren Sebring “Save the Egg”

Grade 5 Winners:

First place - Ellie Varo “Heartrates”

Second place - Lauren Cawcutt “Frozen in Time”

Third place - Garrett Coughlin “What Does the Salt Say?”

Grade 6 Winners:

First place - Isaac Golen “Too Hot to Handle”

Second place - Olivia Stahlbusch “Traveling Water”

Kids Choice Award Winners:

Grade 4 - Joe Peterson: “Dry Ice Bubbles”

Grade 5 - Brooklyn and Jordyn: “Basketball Bounce”

Grade 6 - Annabel and Bella: “Sight, Smell and Smartness of a Guinea Pig”
