Rosters are now set for the Kernz & Kompany High School All-Star Soccer Game to take place Friday, Nov. 9, at Griggs Field on the University of Minnesota-Duluth campus. The Area Girls game will start at 6 p.m. with the Area Boys game starting at 8 p.m.
Cloquet's Jessica Baublitz will be the lone representative in the game for the Lumberjacks who were the Section 7A champions. Esko-Carlton will have three players - Sam Swenson, Jackie Rosenholm and Abby Jaskari.
A total of 40 players, with 20 players on each team, will participate in the Area Girls event.
The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys team will be well represented with five players playing for the Area Boys team. All-State selections Chris Umpierre and Tyler Marquardt will lead the CEC contingent which will also include Colin Lindemood, Mike Barrett and Lucas Hanson.
"This is the last chance to see some of the best high school seniors play before they graduate," said Ryan Kernz of Kernz & Kompany. "This senior class features some of the best the area has produced in a long time."
