A girl was hit by a truck while driving an all-terrain vehicle Thursday afternoon in Thomson Township.
She sustained injuries and was transported via ambulance to a hospital in Duluth, according to a news release from the Carlton County Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 1:39 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the area of 45 Stenman Road. A Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Dan Defoe, 37, of Duluth, was traveling north on Stenman Road when the girl driving the ATV entered the road in front of the truck from a driveway.
The driver of the truck was uninjured. The sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash.
