The 8th District Winter meeting of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will be held at the Virginia Post 239 on Jan. 26 and 27.
Eighth District Commander Dick Zahn of Ely and Eighth District President Jan Langenbrunner of Cloquet will preside over the meetings.
There will be executive board meetings on Friday at 8 p.m. for the Legion and Auxiliary members.
A continental breakfast will be served at the Post starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. The Auxiliary will feature a silent auction at this time.
The Joint District meeting of the Legion and Auxiliary will convene at 9 a.m. Douglas Bible, board member of the American Legion Family Hospital Association, will share information of the Association, and Tammy Opland of the West Duluth Unit will share her experience as the mother of an autistic child.

The regular meetings of the Legion and Auxiliary will convene at the conclusion of the joint meeting at approximately 10 a.m.
